"Analyzing Kalogon during the Florida Venture Forum was a standout experience for our team. Tim, the CEO, was fantastic—dedicated, motivated, and high-energy, making the entire process inspiring. Our team loved both him and the innovative product Kalogon is developing. We were thoroughly impressed with their approach to smart seating, which made us genuinely believe in the product's long-term potential. This experience greatly enriched our education in ENTP 452, Venture Capital. The class provided us with practical insights and hands-on learning, making it one of the most valuable courses we've taken. The opportunity to work closely with such a dynamic company has been an incredible addition to our academic journey."

"I am extremely proud to have been part of the inaugural class of Hatter Angels. This program not only provided valuable connections, but also allowed me to leverage my experience to secure internships and eventually land my current role at ATLAS SP Partners, a global investment firm located in New York. During my time with Hatter Angels, I honed my research and analysis skills by conducting due diligence on more than 30 startups, in order to identify potential investment opportunities. I had the privilege of speaking with top-level executives, including CEOs, and analyzing company financials and investor presentations to develop investment hypotheses with my team. We then presented these investment recommendations to the Alumni Board in formal pitches. The program offered a range of skills that I would not have been able to access through traditional university education alone. - Matt Clements (Class of '22)
"The Hatter Angel Network fills a large void in the FL investment ecosystem by investing in great early-stage technology companies. Their team is extremely experienced and the support they provide for companies benefits long-term success and growth. We are excited to continue our work with Stetson.“
– Saxon Baum (Partner, Florida Funders Venture Capital)
“We feel very fortunate to have Hatter Angels as part of the company and joining us on this journey. Ryan Carroll, Kip Reeves, and Michael Leitelt did an incredible job on diligence. They asked some of the most informed technical, scientific, and financial questions we've received...and they're undergrads!! Stetson University is training some future Midas VCs.” - Andrew Satz, CEO EVQLF
“The Hatter Angel Network is one of the most impactful learning experiences I had at Stetson. In my time with the program, I learned how to conduct due diligence, met with several startup CEOs, and significantly improved my presentation skills. This program prepared me to enter my field and provided me with skills I will use every day in my career after graduation.”
- Andrew Sholar (Class of '22)
"It's exciting for me to witness the transition from book knowledge to active, real-world wisdom acquired from personal interaction with start-ups. There is no better way nor quicker method to advance.“ – David Rinker (Charter Angel/’91)
